Celebrate Mardi Gras early at this FREE all-ages, Sunday afternoon event under the Durham Central Park Pavilion. Come party New Orleans style – rain, snow, or sun!
We'll have free crafting booths for kids & adults - shoe box floats & costuming. Enjoy the sounds of live music and the fun of dancing. Second line parades will happen every hour. Our beer tent will be there as well as food trucks Lornette’s Southern Kitchen (from 12-4pm) and Baton Rouge Cuisine (from 12-6pm).
Come as you are, or form a Krewe of friends, family or co-workers, then pick a theme and come dressed for the party! This is the perfect place to start your celebration for downtown’s festive gathering at CCB plaza later on Mardi Gras night!
