We are thrilled to officially announce our plans to open a new Glass Jug Beer Lab taproom in downtown Durham in early spring 2021!
Located in the new Foster on the Park development, our taproom will be located directly adjacent to Durham Central Park at 545 Foster Street, giving our guests a wonderful view of the vibrant park and all the activities and events that take place there.
This location will allow us to build lasting collaborative partnerships with Durham Central Park, local food trucks, musicians, and artists, and the other independent, small businesses who make Durham the city we are so proud to call home.
We are excited to bring our brand into the downtown area. Over the last 6+ years, we have built an amazing customer base in RTP/South Durham, and we hope to again build an inclusive community of excited beer drinkers at our second taproom.
The addition of a second taproom will allow us to showcase the high-quality craft beer that we are brewing here in Durham as we increase production and expand our product offerings. We plan to offer a rotating selection of 10+ Glass Jug brands downtown, in addition to craft cider and wine on tap and other non-alcoholic beverages.
Unlike our home base here in RTP, the new taproom will not have a full retail bottle shop, but will instead offer more seating in a taproom setting. As we increase production of our house-brewed beers, we will begin offering more frequent can releases so you can easily stock your fridge with Glass Jug beer. In addition to draft and canned beers, the new taproom will offer crowler and growler fills to-go.
Construction will begin later this year, with an anticipated opening in the early spring of 2021. More details will be announced in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates and an official opening date!
