We have been open for over 6 weeks now. Every single day, for more than six weeks. It's been a lot of fun, and we're really enjoying getting to know everyone who is stopping by for a pint and a growler fill, or to pick up a 6-pack to go. However, we have learned a few things along the way:
- Thursday is the new Friday. People want to stay out and have a few pints on the town on Thursday. Doesn't matter if you're hung over on Friday, it'll be the weekend soon enough.
- We need a little time off. Going hard 7 days a week is tough. We need some time to ourselves, and to do things like re-stock the shelves, update our chalkboards, or drive west to pick up some tasty beers from Charlotte and/or Asheville.
- While the Farmer's Market is awesome and we really enjoy serving people that come in while shopping for some local food, not that many people need a beer at 8am. And we could use another couple hours of sleep.
So, we're going to be making a few changes beginning next week - the first week of November. Starting Sunday, November 2nd, our hours will be the following:
Sunday: 12-7pm Monday: 4-8pm Tuesday & Wednesday: 12-8pm Thursday & Friday: 12-10pm Saturday: 10am-10pm
We hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone too much. It will give us most of the day Monday to get things ready for the week, while also giving you a few more hours to hang out on Thursday night, and then we all get to sleep in a little later on Saturday, while still being open for the second half of the Farmer's Market. Hopefully it is a win-win. But hey, we're new and flexible. If it doesn't work out, we reserve the right to keep tweaking our hours to better fit everyone's schedules.
